在RT-qPCR檢測,因RNA萃取步驟具時間限制性,且RNA在萃取過程中可能會流失,從而降低了檢測的靈敏度。但是,萃取這個步驟通常是必要的,因需要透過萃取來去除可能降低RT-qPCR分析靈敏度和準確性的inhibitors。

為了應對這一挑戰,Meridian開發了一款對inhibitor有抗性的Inhibitor-Tolerant RT-qPCR Mix,獨特配方可以對富含抑制劑的臨床樣本,如唾液或糞便,進行靈敏的檢測。這種新型mix為核酸萃取提供了一種新穎的替代方法,既節省了時間又節省了人工,這在需要快速檢測感染控制的病毒篩選測定中至關重要。

此外,4X濃度的配方允許添加更大的樣本量,這在COVID-19的檢測中更有助於檢測樣本中low-copy的病毒。

Results demonstrate that MDX016 (red) exhibits a higher tolerance to inhibitors present in artificial sputum (Kirchner, S. et al.
