體內半胱氨酸 (Cysteine) 水平異常與心血管疾病、亨廷頓舞蹈病、HIV感染和癌症有關。半胱氨酸是許多體外實驗中常見的還原劑。ProFoldin的MicroMolar Cysteine Assay Kit專門設計用於測量半胱氨酸的micromolar濃度，可用於偵測生化反應、藥品和環境水樣品中的半胱氨酸濃度。


  測定原理  
使用螢光偵測原理，在半胱氨酸的存在下，染劑R53在535 nm波長下的螢光訊號會增強。
*此Assay kit和HEPES buffer相容，若sample中含有 thiol compound (例如DTT)則不適合使用此kit。
